“Basically Baker vol. 2” is a 2 disc set that brings together the music of the late NEA Jazz Master and world-lauded jazz educator David Baker and the performing skills of the renowned Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra, featuring Baker’s own arrangements of his music in a big-band setting.

The Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra will be joined for this project by special guest artists Grammy award-winning trumpeter Randy Brecker and saxophonist Rich Perry of the Maria Schneider orchestra.

David Baker was a jazz-education pioneer Downbeat Magazine has named “Basically Baker” as one of the 21st century’s top 100 jazz CDs to date. Basically Baker 2 will extend that contribution to the modern jazz canon and further the mission and legacy of David Baker’s life in music.
